Can't recommend highly enough for an overnight stay
Friendly staff, large room, and spotlessly clean bathroom made our visit enjoyable, with a convenient location allowing us to explore the area effortlessly, and the free parking was an added bonus.
All was perfect.

We had a wonderful stay and found the hotel incredibly accommodating, especially with our two children. The breakfast was excellent, and the staff made sure we had everything we needed without delay. It was a bonus that our family could enjoy such a lovely garden area.
In my kids’ opinion, a pool would have made it even better.

spacious grounds for outdoor activities, proximity to Brighton Marathon events, affordable packages for meals and stays
The hotel definitely needs an update!!! The carpets were water stained, and the decor felt like a relic from the '70s. the bathroom maintenance fell short, with dirty sinks and worn fixtures that left much to be desired!!!

Ideal for solo travelers seeking comfort
The hotel was on lovely grounds and I think the lady's name was Rebecca she made the effort to talk every time I went past. My room was really nice and cozy, bed was solid which is hard to find with my back problems.
It wasn't exactly inexpensive but still felt acceptable.

Charming Stay with Delicious Meals
We recently stayed for one night, and I must say the ambiance was lovely, with cozy décor that exudes charm. The staff were incredibly welcoming, making our stay feel special, and the evening meal was absolutely delightful, with fresh ingredients that stood out. the bed could have been more comfortable, as it felt a bit too firm for my liking.

The room felt cozy with a great layout. Staff greeted me warmly, which set a positive tone. Enjoyed the tasty breakfast, but coffee was lukewarm at first. The location is beautiful, surrounded by nature. Sadly, the walls were thin, and I heard noise from nearby rooms, which disrupted my sleep. The shower didn’t provide the best water pressure, making it a bit frustrating. The check-in process was smooth, and I appreciated the convenience of free parking. the vibe was friendly and relaxed, but I hope they improve the noise insulation and plumbing soon.

had a lovely stay at the hickstead hotel, our room was on the ground floor and really comfy. the hotel is super close to hickstead showground, only about 30 mins walk. breakfast and dinner were delish, the mixed salad was a big hit with my boyfriend! staff were really helpful and made us feel welcome.
only downside was the early check-in fee if u need it, we didn’t but it could be a problem for others. also there wasn't a shorter route to the showground like we thought.

The staff were remarkably friendly and professional, enhancing the overall experience. Breakfast offered a great range, though the full English I ordered was missing beans and black pudding. The room was spacious, equipped with comfortable seating and a powerful shower, perfect for a restful stay. The serene gardens surrounding the property were a lovely touch, creating a peaceful atmosphere.
